Influences

Jeff Beck has probably been the greatest influence on my guitaring. He's got brilliant feeling and timing, always surprises and he's is a master at the wah-wah pedal. Highlights are the albums Truth, Blow by Blow and There and Back. Beck's Bolero is a master piece (and for anyone that doesn't know was written in 1966 and was the template for heavy rock / metal).

Here are my guitar influences:

Jeff Beck
Mike Bloomfield
Peter Green
Brian Robertson (from Thin Lizzy)
Eric Clapton with the Blues Breakers
Larry Carlton
Mark Knopfler
Angus Young (on early AC/DC)

Pioneers & Masters of blues guitar

The blues emerged out of the hardships endured by the African American slaves during the late 19th Century and early 20th century and by the late 1940s, Guitarists such as Robert Johnson, Muddy Waters and Leadbelly were to ensure that the genre would become even more popular and paved the way for the 1960s Blues boom. Guitarists such as Eric Clapton, Jeff Beck, Peter Green and Mike Bloomfield helped bring blus to the public attention and ensured blues was heard centre stage.
